Teaching in orchestral, solo, bluegrass, jazz, rock and funk bass styles, bassist Mark recently earned his music performance degree, summa cum laude, from Metropolitan State College of Denver, and is principal bassist for the Denver Philharmonic. An active solo and chamber music player, Mark leads a bluegrass trio, a piano/bass jazz duo, and is a multi-instrumentalist in rock trio

Chris has been teaching and playing since the 80's. She loves teaching all ages. She is an award winning fiddler.

Jane Thatcher

Guitar

Jane teaches beginning and intermediate guitar to children and adults.  She specializes in working with students who have struggled with attention deficit disorders, behavior problems, and/or difficulty learning a new instrument.  She has a Master’s degree in social work and combines all of her skills in highly personalized lessons.  Jane believes that we are all inherently musical and that anyone can learn to play the guitar.

Calvin Weatherall

Matt Gallagher

Matt is a relative newcomer to the scene - just in his 20's - but what a stellar banjo player. His mentor is Armando Zuppa.

Emily Wilson
Fiddle, Mandolin


Emily grew up in the mountains west of Denver, Colorado. She grew up with a deep love of music, playing violin and mandolin. Emily played with the Lakewood Symphony and the Denver Mandolin Orchestra during high school. After high school she moved to Durango, Colorado where she attended college, taught fiddle and mandolin at Canyon Music, and played mandolin with Wild Mountain, a popular local band. She has moved back to the Front Range to finish her music degree at Metropolitan State College of Denver and pursue the musical opportunities a larger city has to offer.She plays mandolin in the bluegrass band Mountain Holler.


Andrew Boyce

Greg is an award-winning flatpicker who played for years with the Bluegrass Missourians and now plays with Mountain Holler and the new band Jeff Scroggins & Colorado.

Mark Hutchinson
Guitar

Mark Hutchinson grew up in Denver and his musical influences range from folk to blues, jazz and R&B. Mark was educated as a musician and counts decades of experience as a music educator on many levels. He has played in many Denver-area bands including West of Greenwich, Moze Gun Dog, OTC
Varmitz and Clam Daddys.  

Donna S-Scheer

Donna is a multi-instrumentalist who has been playing guitar since her her dad brought one home from Vietnam in 1973. She is a patient, friendly teacher.
